Employee development & social responsibility

Giving opportunities

People are at the centre of everything we do – our working environment is characterised by strong team spirit and family structures, creating an atmosphere of trust and appreciation. We attach great importance to the promotion and development of our employees and continuously invest in their further training in order to strengthen their professional and personal skills. We pay particular attention to apprenticeship training: we provide training in eleven different professions, including industrial clerks, warehouse clerks and technical product designers. There is also the option of dual study programmes in technical disciplines.

The future is teamwork!

Successfully shaping the future is a task that we can only accomplish together. Because in a world that is increasingly characterised by complex challenges such as climate change, economic uncertainty and social justice, the ability to act as a team is crucial. That is why we value diversity, integrate different perspectives and lifestyles and strengthen our team spirit. This creates innovative, sustainable solutions that secure a better future for us all.

That is why we value diversity, integrate different perspectives and lifestyles and strengthen our team spirit. This creates innovative, sustainable solutions that secure a better future for us all.

Goal 1: Training and further education

Knowledge is the future. That is why it is particularly important to us to train young talent and support our employees in their personal development through further training measures. We are delighted that we were able to give 75 trainees and 4 dual students a good start to the future at Hako in 2022 – including female trainees who we were able to inspire to take up technical training at Hako. In the coming years, we want to further expand our training programme, optimise our training standards and take further measures to promote employee development.

Goal 2: Diversity and equal opportunities

We treat and value all our employees equally – regardless of gender, origin or other characteristics. In order to further strengthen this principle, we will continue to sensitise our workforce in this regard and contribute to raising awareness: for example, by constantly providing information and training of managers.

Goal 3: Reconciling work and family life

Finding the right balance between work and family life is not easy – but it can be done! At least if we as a company make a contribution and support our employees. It is therefore planned, among other things, to gather experience with the 4-day week as part of a pilot project and to provide targeted support for parental leave by also providing special information for our male employees. With flexible working hours and home office options, we help our employees to find a more relaxed balance between work commitments and family responsibilities.

Goal 4: Communication and appreciation

We aim to promote open, honest communication and recognition of the contributions of each and every individual. We want everyone in the team to feel valued and motivated. This is the basis for a constructive and successful working atmosphere. Our aim is to build on these strengths and ensure an even better flow of information between our company locations. In addition, we want to continue to promote cooperation, a sense of community and trust among members by organising joint activities outside everyday working life and holding regular team events.

Our commitment to inclusion in companies:

"Everyone is always ready to learn an do new things ...

... especially my colleagues with disabilities", says a delighted Torben Zacharias, Head of Assembly and Packaging at Stormarner Werkstätten in Bad Oldesloe. The organisation has set itself the goal of integrating people with mental or physical disabilities as well as people with psychological impairments through work and vocational training. We believe that’s well worth supporting, so this is where we have our Sweepmaster M600 assembled, enabling people with disabilities to achieve greater self-determination through participation in working life.
