Oertzen extinguishing technology

Oertzen extinguishing technology

Firefighting with high pressure

Firefighting with high pressure

In the event of fires, fractions of a second are often decisive for successful extinguishing. Oertzen high-pressure extinguishers (HPE) are easy to operate, always ready for immediate use if the worst comes to the worst, and particularly efficient because the high-pressure technology atomises the water. This allows it to vaporise more quickly and considerably improves the extinguishing effect – while significantly reducing water consumption and possible consequential damage.

The principle of high-pressure extinguishing technology

Our high-pressure extinguishing technology is based on the ultra-fine atomisation of water. The finest water droplets significantly increase the water surface area and generate water vapour. This optimises the cooling effect of the water, quickly draws energy from the fire and suffocates it due to the reduced oxygen concentration.

As the water flows out of the atomiser nozzle of the extinguishing gun at high speed due to the increased water flow pressure of up to 250 bar, the water mist also reaches hard-to-reach sources of fire – for example in roof trusses, wall panelling or suspended ceilings.

In this way, the high-pressure extinguishing process not only extinguishes smaller fires effectively, but also conserves resources and minimises water consumption.

Benefits of high-pressure extinguishing technology

  • No set-up times in the event of a fire: immediately ready for rapid reaction
  • Optimum utilisation of the cooling effect of water: effective firefighting through energy extraction
  • Smothering effect due to water vapour formation: efficient smothering of the fire
  • Extremely short extinguishing time: rapid firefighting
  • Long throw range: reaches even hard-to-reach sources of fire
  • Low recoil: easy handling of the extinguishing gun
  • Minimal water consumption of max. 23 l/min: reduces water damage
  • Prevention of extinguishing water damage and carryover: gentle on the surrounding area
  • Foam agents are only added when required: flexibility in firefighting
  • Small installation dimensions in the vehicle: space-saving and practical

Compact, user-friendly, ready for immediate use!

1  125-l water tank (optional) for self-sufficient operation
2  Simple operation thanks to the user-friendly control panel
3  In-line piston pump, durable and reliable
4  Admixer for the rapid use of foaming agents or mains water
5  Hose reel with up to 100 m hose for rapid operational readiness

Areas of application for our high-pressure extinguishers

The high-pressure extinguishers (HPE) are used for class A and B fires. Water, the classic extinguishing agent, is primarily used for solid fires (fire class A). For flammable liquids (fire class B), the flexible and rapid addition of foam agents ensures effective extinguishing without reignition.

And for use in civil defence and disaster control

Waterjet Technology from Hako also provides good service when it comes to protecting and supporting the population and infrastructure from danger in crisis and disaster situations. Oertzen high-pressure cleaners, for example, provide hot water for the decontamination of emergency hospitals. Low-pressure heater modules heat the water for showers in tent camps or for disinfection. And with the right accessories, Oertzen high-pressure cleaners can also extract water and mud in the event of flooding.
